Electric vehicles should always be available and charging facilities should function trouble-free.
These are the requirements for modern mobility. Overvoltages pose a serious risk here. They can paralyse the entire charging system and damage the connected vehicle.

The course is new.:

Protect the charging infrastructure and electric vehicles from damage caused by lightning strikes and surges – Meet normative electromobility requirements. Reduce the risk of system failure and damage to the electric vehicle.

In this web training you will learn:
How lightning strikes and surges affect the charging infrastructure and connected vehicles.
Which standards and regulations have to be observed during planning and operation.
Which protective measures are necessary for safe and trouble-free operation according to the lightning protection zone concept.

The course is new.:

High power charging parks allow you to charge vehicles in the shortest possible time in order to boost your range when you have a quick stop. This can only be achieved by high power charging (HPC) with a charging speed of up to 350 kW. Lightning strikes and surges threaten the economic viability of such systems since they can cause damage to and even a complete failure of the charging infrastructure, including the electric vehicle.

In this web training you will learn:
How to define hazards based on the required risk analysis. Which protection measures are required to reduce imminent loss and how to meet the requirements of IEC 60364-7-722 and IEC 60364-4-44, clause 443 by means of lightning and surge protection.
